Honor Watch 4 eSIM smartwatch launched with 1.75-inch screen, 10 days battery and more
On July 12, Honor launched Honor Watch 4, its first eSIM and the industry’s first dual SIM standby smartwatch. This wearable comes with a stylish design and native network communication.
Let’s first define the dual sim standby. Even if the connected smartphone is not with you, the watch can still receive dual-SIM message notifications and dual-SIM missed call notifications from the phone and can call back with a tap.
A regular smartwatch only comes with single SIM calls, and cannot receive SIM calls and SMS notifications from another SIM. This new tech also cuts down the smartwatch’s requirement for a smartphone connection. Because the connection remains unaffected by the distance.
The Honor Watch 4 supports a dual standby feature to conduct calls, SMS, and important message notifications of two SIMs on the phone simultaneously.
Currently, the situation with this concept is a bit complicated, whether the watch will support notification from both SIM on the phone. Or the company is counting the watch’s eSIM + a smartphone card as two? We’ll update the article with more information.
eSIM:
With native connectivity, the Honor Watch 4 supports the synchronization of important information such as SMS and missed calls and also supports quick SMS replies, real-time weather, and alarm clock reminders.
Display:
Coming to the front, it has a large 1.75-inch screen with 390×450 pixels and a 60Hz refresh rate. The AMOLED panel is full of vibrant colors with touch and gesture interactions. The build is combined with a 6 series aluminum alloy frame in the middle.
Battery:
The watch equips three-core architecture and smart scheduling to deliver up to 10-day battery life. With a non-stop 24-hour eSIM connection, Honor Watch 4 can provide up to 3+ days of battery backup.
Health and others:
Also, this is the first Honor smart wearable to feature the MagicOS operating system. For well-being, the watch pre-installs 85 sports modes and 12 professional sports modes. The sports section of the watch includes fitness, dance, ball games, water sports, ice and snow sports, and extreme sports.
There are also 12 professional sports modes – outdoor running, indoor running, indoor cycling, outdoor cycling, outdoor walking, indoor walking, Pool swimming, open water, elliptical, rowing machine, jump rope, and free training.
