Zhao Ming – the CEO of Honor Devices had a small talk with Daily Economic News. The official mentioned how he sees Honor in the upcoming years in the market.

The CEO said that the company has to improve its performance in the high-end market. Honor is taking measures towards sustainable growth on the consumer ground. It has increased investment in the R&D sector year by year, just like Huawei.

Last year, Honor spent around 11.5% of its total sales revenue in R&D. Now it has increased its value by a significant percentage. Zhao says that the most important thing is to constantly invest in the future and let the company continue to grow.

Zhao noted that the market share is fluctuating. He said that Honor also has pressure due to Huawei’s return. As can be seen, the Mate phone maker is making huge strides in the market with its innovative AI products, giving a tough spot to its rivals. It is also affecting Apple iPhone sales in the home ground.

In that case, Honor believes in working on its smartphone’s innovation. Zhao stated that competing with Huawei and Apple not only in China but also in global markets is its constant strategy. The company will more keenly focus on this goal. The CEO says:

“Honor’s strategy today is very clear, which is to focus on the strategic direction. How to make the mobile phone the best in the industry will be what the Honor team will pursue for a long time in the future. Competing with Apple and Huawei in the European, global, and even Chinese markets is our unswerving strategy.”
