Honor View20 on Magic UI 3.0 receiving January security update

Honor is expanding the rollout for Magic UI 3.0/Android 10 for Honor 20, 20 Pro and Honor View20 around the globe. This new OS upgrade brings a plenty of new features with the latest user experience.

So the Honor View20 users that have already received the Magic UI 3.0 are now receiving a new Magic UI update with the latest security improvements.

The January 2020 security update, which improves system security with Google security patches and fixes to 2 critical and 16 high levels of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

However, there’s no additional improvements mentioned in the changelog.

VERSIONS:

The January 2020 security update for Honor View20 comes with Magic UI 3.0 version 10.0.0.183 with 128MB size. On the other hand, the new Magic UI version comes with Magic UI 3 version 10.0.0.179 and others.

How to Check for Update

Via Settings:

1. Open Settings
2. Click on ‘System’
3. Click on ‘Software update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’

Via HiCare:

1. Open HiCare app
2. Click on ‘Services’ tab
3. Click on ‘Update’
4. Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
5. Click on ‘Download and install’
