During the Honor 200 series launch conference, the company’s CEO Zhao Ming said that the upcoming foldable phones from the brand will be more unique and creative, compared to the latest creations in the market. Let’s check the matter in detail.

The story began when an interviewer asked Zhao about how the company sees the small vertical foldable position in the market while many OEMs are ready to leave!

In response, Honor CEO mentioned that the new small vertical foldable phones in the market lack many major aspects. A major reason why the tech giants are giving up the development of such devices is the deficiency of creativity and uniqueness.

Zhao further cites that many phone makers didn’t implement such tools and features that consumers demand in a foldable handset. Excluding those benefits and features makes the device lose its special value, lagging in the sales market race.

Although when it comes to Honor, the company is independent and fully different from its rivals. Hinting towards Honor’s first-ever clamshell, Zhao says that the firm is looking for better solutions to make its devices more innovative than others.

“I think that many times, it is a lack of imagination and value exploration is not enough. Honor is different from others in many fields. This time, we are also thinking and conceiving our solutions for small folding screens along this logic” – says Zhao Ming.

Honor Magic Flip

A new device that is currently in development is the alleged Magic Flip model. It is said to bring a powerful battery which will eliminate the usual battery life problem in folding handsets. Leaks also say that the firm has used a more durable hinge technology for its first flip-flop device.
