Honor V9 smartphone gets December 2021 HarmonyOS software update
Honor V9 smartphone has started receiving December 2021 HarmonyOS software update that enhances the overall performance of the device. However, the Honor V9 is one of the oldest smartphones that is upgraded over the latest HarmonyOS system.
The Honor V9 smartphone was launched in 2017 and still, the company is serving it with regular software updates for better performance. According to the information, the December 2021 update for Honor V9 arrives with HM OS version 2.0.0.140 upgraded from 2.0.0.125.
By exploring the new changelog, we have found that the update consisted of optimization for basic system features, display interface of the contact interface, and fixes the problem of being unable to log in to Huawei account in some scenarios. In addition to this, it also installs the December 2021 security improvements.
In terms of the software updates, Huawei dispatches the monthly firmware to the least possible device for improved system performance. The December 2021 HarmonyOS update fixes 1 CVE in framework, 2 CVEs in Kernel, 3 CVEs in the system, 3 CVEs in applications, and 62 CVEs in the third-party libraries.

New Software Update details:
- System: Optimizing the basic experience of such as volume, adding the desktop icon zoom function to improve the unlocking experience in some scenarios.
- Display: Optimize the display effect of the contact interface.
- System: Fix the problem of being unable to log in to the Huawei account in some scenarios.
- Security: Incorporated the December 2021 security patches to enhance the security of mobile phone systems

STEPS TO UPDATE YOUR DEVICE:
To download this update manually, go to Settings then System & updates, then open Software update, from here select Check for updates. If an update is available it’ll pop up on your phone and an option of Download and install will appear. Press the option and start to download.
You can also request software updates through the My Huawei app. To do this, open the My Huawei app, tap on the update, then select Check for updates, and then download and install.
