[Update: Resumed] Honor temporarily halt Magic UI 3.0 (Android 10) rollout for Honor 20 series and View20
February 10, 2020:
Users of Honor View20 and Honor 20 have reported that they’ve started receiving the Magic UI 3.0/Android 10 update, which was temporarily halted last month.
January 10, 2020:
Honor 20 series along with Honor View20 begin to upgrade on this Android 10 based Magic UI 3.0 in November and as the latest development in this story, the company has halted the rollout of Android 10 for these smartphones.
Recently, Honor 20 and View20 users on Magic UI 2.1 (Android 9) tried to upgrade on the Magic UI 3.0 (Android 10) but didn’t receive any updates. In a response from Honor, the company confirmed that the ongoing rollout of Magic UI 3.0 is ‘temporarily’ put on hold and will start in February.
“We would like to inform you that Stable version of Android 10 for Honor 20 is temporarily put on hold. Please be informed that we will start releasing Android 10 by the second week of February 2020. We appreciate your understanding and patience.” said Honor India.
Currently, Honor India didn’t reveal any reasons to put a hold on this rollout but we recommend users to keep checking for the update as it may arrive earlier than the suggested date.
