Honor Play 4 smartphone receiving November 2021 security update

Huawei is sending a new HarmonyOS update for Honor Play 4 smartphone that mainly installs the security patch released in November 2021. As per the updated information, the firmware update comes HarmonyOS version 2.0.0.212 from 2.0.0.211.

The November 2021 security update for Honor Play 4 smartphone fixes 1 CVE in the system, 5 CVEs in Kernel,10 CVEs in the application, and 40 CVEs in the third-party library to enhance the overall device security.

Honor Play 4 phone comes with a 6.81-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9, powered by a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 800 processor, 6GB of RAM, 4300mAh that supports proprietary fast charging.

The Honor Play 4 runs Magic UI 3.1.0 is based on Android 10 and packs 128GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded via microSD card (up to 512GB) and measures 170.00 x 78.50 x 8.90mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 213.00 grams. It was launched in Magic Night Black, Phantom Blue, and Iceland illusion colors.
