Honor phone with Google Mobile Services and Play Store launching soon
Huawei’s former subsidiary – Honor has announced to resume Google Mobile Services (GMS) in smartphones soon with the launch of Honor 50 in the global market. Currently, Honor has not announced any specific launch date for this phone but the Chinese phone maker is likely to introduce the GMS-powered Honor 50 later this month.

Huawei and Honor Ban:
Following the event of May 2019, Huawei has been banned from using technologies made by U.S. companies including Google. In the aftermath, Huawei cannot certify new phones that are powered with Google apps as well as Play Store on fresh models.
As a matter of subsidiary, Honor also fall under the same circumstances and had to give up on GMS too. Last November, Huawei, and Honor went separate ways and sold to Shenzhen Zhixin New Information Technology Co. Ltd., a consortium of over 30 agents and dealers in China.
Since then, Honor has become an independent smartphone brand and can now its own flagship smartphones and also compete against top smartphone makers including Apple, Samsung, and Xiaomi.
Honor 50:
Honor 50 features a 6.57-inch OLED panel with FHD+ (2340 x 1080 pixel) resolution, 1.07 billion colors, DCI-P3 wide color gamut. It has a quad rear camera system including 108MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP macro camera. On the front side, Honor 50 provides high-quality selfies with a 32Mp selfie camera.
The Honor 50 packs a 4300mAb battery with 66W superfast sharing, the overall time of a full recharge is measured about 45 minutes via USB Type-C port. For your information, Honor 50 tags with Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G Octa-core processor (4 × Cortex-A78 2.4GHz + 4 × Cortex-A55 1.8GHz) and Adreno 642L GPU. From the software side, this phone runs Android 11 based Magic UI 4.2
