Honor MagicOS 8.0 third major upgrade: Eligible Devices

Honor has introduced the third major upgrade of MagicOS 8.0 and it’s time to know which devices are eligible for the new software offering. The company has started rolling out the latest firmware from its flagship handsets and will soon cover all the models.

According to the official details, Honor has opened the MagicOS 8.0 third upgrade for more than 40 devices. The list not only counts the top premium handsets but also includes old flagship models, mid-range smartphones, and new foldable phones.

The company has not shared any accurate timeline to push the new build to every device. However, the official announcement reveals that the tech giant started releasing the update on July 28 and will gradually cover all the compatible models in the list.

If you carry any of the above smartphones in your pocket then you will soon receive an exciting update. Make sure to have sufficient storage in your device and adequate battery level to conduct the installation without any interruption.

We also suggest taking a backup beforehand. The firmware won’t erase your data but prevention is always better than cure. In case you don’t get an update alert, then visit Settings > System and Updates and tap on Software Update for manual installation.
