Honor is sending a major improvements update for the Magic V3 foldable that enhances the status bar and camera features. The company has also optimized other existing features and added a new security patch for a bug-free user experience.
Magic V3 is the thinnest foldable in the smartphone market. The device has left its rivals like Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Pixel 9 Pro Fold behind in thin design. It recently made its debut in the global market with impressive AI features and software capabilities.
The company is now bringing a big update for Honor Magic V3 with status bar and camera improvements. The firmware also renovates Smart Capsule, split-screen mode, and stability aspects. It is rolling out with the MagicOS 8.0.1.162 build version.
With this update, the company has mainly improved the status bar look for the foldable. It increases the font size for more visibility and bolds the icon design. Thus, users can see the information and relevant details more clearly than before.
Honor has further enhanced the camera aspects to deliver more vibrant and crisp portraits. Apart from UI and camera, the update improves the split-screen mode for system and third-party apps. Users won’t face any lag while operating the feature.

- Fixed the issue where the knuckle screenshot would fail after switching from a full-screen game to a mini window and then back to full-screen.
Smart Capsule
- Fixed the issue where a white bar appears on the left side of the status bar time when you pull down the notification center and return to the desktop when the Smart Capsule is displayed.

- Improves the stability of parallel space and Favorite space.

- Incorporates the Android September 2024 security patch to enhance system security.
