Honor Magic V2 to bring light, thin foldable design
Last year, Honor unveiled its first foldable phone, Honor Magic V, and this year, Honor is preparing to launch Honor Magic V2 with a light and thin design to tackle the market trends.
According to the information coming from a classmateguan, Honor Magic V2 will compete against Huawei Mate X3. The phone will be using an extremely thin folding screen mechanism. Also, the Magic V2 could launch in the third quarter of this year.
It is also suggested that Honor Magic V2 will use a large folding panel with weight and thickness reduction. These are the information that we currently have. It is not confirmed whether it will arrive with MagicOS 8.0 (Android 14). However, it’s assured that there are major upgrades in design and portability.
Huawei Mate X3:
Launched in March, Huawei Mate X3 has set a new trend in the industry with its cutting-edge appearance and low weight. The phone is using new technologies that helped to pack more battery and provide a better user experience.
This way, the Mate X3 filed a lead among all of the foldable phone makers and established itself as the best side folding phone company.

As a side foldable, Honor Magic V2 equips a 7.9-inch foldable main screen with a 10:3:9 aspect ratio, 10.7 billion colors, 90Hz refresh rate, and 2272 x 1984 pixels resolution. Meanwhile, the cover screen expands at 6.45 inches with up to 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution.
The phone used Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core chipset with Adreno 730 GPU. It runs Magic UI 6.0 out of the box (Android 12). It has a triple rear camera system 50 MP Wide Angle Camera (f/1.9 aperture). Along with a 50 MP Ultra Spectrum Camera (f/2.0 aperture) and a 50 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera (f/2.2 aperture).
