Honor Magic 7 RSR tops Mate 70 Pro+ in camera performance: CEO
Honor Magic 7 RSR has better camera capabilities than the Huawei Mate 70 Pro+. That’s not us, but the Honor CEO Zhao Ming who recently said that the new Magic phone is better than other Chinese competitors in the consumer market.
During the Magic 7 RSR launch, Honor compared its newly launched device and Mate 70 Pro+ in terms of camera. The OEM tested both models under 100x telephoto photography. Notably, the Magic 7 RSR performed better than the Mate handset.

Wei even shouted the ‘leading the way’ slogan in the press conference. Many netizens said that the slogan is directed towards Huawei as a new challenge in the market.
Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design periscope camera
Honor Magic 7 RSR excels in photography as it uses the industry’s first 200MP ultra-sensitive periscope sensor with the largest f/1.88 aperture and lens base of 1/1.4 inch. This technology eventually increases the light intake amount by 98%.
On the flip side, the lens is paired with a dual electromagnetic focus motor that improves the focus by 83%. Another component is the multi-phase calibration with a 120% tracking range which offers excellent image quality, blur, and capture.
Zhao Ming further talked on this matter, saying Honor is doing well in photography. When someone asked about his reviews on the Mate 70 Pro+ multi-spectral lens, Zhao responded he had experienced it and was confident that the Magic 7 RSR Porsche Design would do better.
Regarding the competition between Honor and Huawei, Zhao said that the company is leading in terms of strategy and thinking, though they have to work more in the “user experience” sector. The executive says:
“Huawei is a strong and respectable opponent. The team can bravely claim to be in the lead and as the CEO, I firmly support it. Facing strong competitors, we must also have the courage and strength to break through.”
