Honor launches MagicOS 9.0 (Android 15) public beta program
It’s November 13, and Honor has opened the doors of MagicOS 9.0 public beta program for eligible devices. The company is calling users to enroll themselves in the latest software testing activity and explore new features ahead of the stable rollout.
Public Beta Program refers to vast software testing. Unlike limited users, a large number of individuals with compatible models can join this program and experience the software in advance. However, ensure a backup before proceeding.
The company launched the MagicOS 9.0 closed beta program for the first batch of devices last month. Now these models are ready to enter the public testing phase.
Honor flagship devices are eligible to participate in this program. Although your device should be running on the baseline version 8.0.0.172 or above builds. You can check all the compatible handsets and their baseline numbers below.

In case you have already enrolled in the Android 15-based closed beta recruitment, you’ll get the new public beta version via OTA update. Others have to sign up for the activity to fetch the latest testing version. To do so, follow the instructions:
Open the “My Honor” app on your smartphone. Go to the Club page and tap on MagicOS 9.0. Now select the ‘Upgrade and Try’ option and click on the Public Beta application. Register yourself by filling in the details and hit the SUBMIT button.
Before proceeding, don’t forget to take a complete backup of your device. Also, your phone should have 10GB of free storage space. You may face some issues like overheating, battery draining, performance-related bugs, and more. Hence, proceed with the beta updates at your own risk.
