Honor kept on following the footsteps of Huawei and the company is next aiming to achieve the durability of the Kunlun Glass. The latest input about this new screen protection is interesting as Honor prepares for future releases of new phones.

According to DigitalChatStation, Honor will launch new Giant Rhinocesors glass in line with Huawei Kunlun Glass. However, the tipster is not revealed new details of its compositions. Interstingly, the tipster also mentioned that Honor’s new high-density silicon-carbon anode batteries are all similar solutions to Huawei.

Kunlun Glass:

Last October, Huawei unveiled the Huawei Mate 50 series with this super durable Kunlun Glass. To be mentioned, Kunlun glass variants are sold separately from standard versions.

Huawei says that Kunlun Glass is made with nano microcrystalline. It includes growing 10 quadrillion-level strong nanocrystals in glass and significantly improves the glass’s strength. In terms of process, the glass went through 24 hours, 108 processes, and 1600-degree melting to create ultimate durability.

The glass provides 10 times more resistance to falling. It is awarded the first-ever five-star glass drop resistance certification from Switzerland’s SGS for screen protection and drop resistance.

Based on the lab test results, Kunlun Glass’s resistance to falling and dropping has been improved significantly due to the use of stronger nano-microcrystalline. However, smartphones are precision electronic products that should be protected from falling and collisions.

The latest Huawei P60 series, Mate X3, and Nova 11 devices also come with a separate Kunlun glass version for a better user experience.

For future Honor devices:

As for now, Honor has not confirmed the launch of new screen solutions but the new Giant Rhinoceros Glass could make its debut in Honor Magic V2 later this year or maybe early.
