Honor CMO refutes X60 renders that resemble Mate 60 Pro design
Jiang Hairong – the CMO of Honor Devices recently refuted X60 renders that resemble the Mate 60 Pro appearance. The executive also implies that the upcoming high-end model has better design upgrades and capabilities over the predecessors.
Honor X60 launch is set for October. Ahead of the official unveiling, some tipsters shared the imaginative design of the X60 phone via renders. These images pictured the upcoming X-tagged model similar to the Huawei Mate 60 Pro smartphone.
The renders showcased X60‘s back panel divided into upper and bottom halves. The upper one is spacious and shows a glass-marble-like material while the below part shows the aluminum body. It has the Honor branding at the bottom center.
Speaking of the rear camera module, there is a giant circular ring, just like a phonograph record. This camera ring holds two lenses and one LED flash. The center slate shows MATRIX branding. Overall module is surrounded by a silver rim.
Notably, the color options of the rendered X60 model are also the same as the Mate 60 Pro: Green and Black. Looking into these renders, the Honor CMO – Jiang Hairong commented that Mate 60 Pro-like renders of X60 are fake!
Following this statement, a few netizens questioned if the upcoming X60 smartphone is more appealing than its predecessors. The executive said, “It must be”.
Thus, the Honor X60 could get major design upgrades over the previous-gen models. The company hasn’t revealed any details of the new phone’s design or key parameters. However, we may learn about them by the mid-October. Stay tuned.
