Honor Band 5 and 4 stopped showing ‘Notification Details’ after April update

According to inputs that we’ve received, the new changes in the notifications seem to be a new feature – showing only the app icon along with the New Notification text and replaced the old detailed view. But the unusual disappearance of Music widget and other is still an issue that needs to be resolved.

Honor Band 5 users have recently received the April update, which brings a number of fixes for controlling music playback, display issues, and Bluetooth connection vibrations.

But there’s an issue that originated after the user upgraded their Honor Band 5 and Honor Band 4 to the April software update.

According to our readers, the recent update for both Band 4 and Band 5 has stopped showing the notification detail on its arrival. Now the notification only shows the “New Notifications” label and app icon instead of SMS from a “Contact Name” or from Social networks.

Also, the music playback feature in Honor Band 5 is kept disappearing from the display.

Some of the users reported that these problem has not even resolved after a hard reset but we don’t have any information whether this problem is occurring for all users of the Band 4 and 5.

Currently, we’ll have to wait for the company’s response on this matter or a possible patch that may soon rollout via OTA.
