[Update: India] Honor 9A first update brings Petal Search, knuckle gestures and new security

Honor has now started to rollout the first software update for Honor 9A in India with Magic UI 3.1 version 3.1.0.134 and package size of 501MB. The phone’s first sale is scheduled for August 6.

Compared to the European version, the update for the Indian model only brings Petal Search and July 2020 security patches.

Honor 9A is a budget device and comes with a jumbo 5000mAh battery that can stand for days in a single charge. Soon after its initial launch in China, this phone debuted in the global market in June 2020.

Aside from its large battery, Honor 9A offers a triple camera system, waterdrop notch full view display, and pre-installed Magic UI 3.1 (EMUI 10.1/Android 10).

Since it’s already out in many markets, Honor now sending the very first upgrade for the Honor 9A users that brings a number of new features to improve its overall user experience as well as the device performance.

This first software update for Honor 9A adds Petal Search to the widgets on the home screen to made app search simpler, introduces knuckle gestures, and installs new security.

This software update for Honor 9A in Europe comes with Magic UI 3.1 version 3.1.0.132 upgrading from Magic UI 3.1.0.112. Users will have to download a package size of 756MB.
