Honor 9A getting new applications and security patch with the latest software rollout

Huawei devices are receiving new security patches that bring the latest security improvement as well as required changes in the system settings to improve the overall user experience.

Honor 9A is one of the devices that was launched, while Honor was still under Huawei’s leadership. Therefore, it has been received new security patches and software improvements till now.

In the recent edition, Honor 9A begins to receive a new OTA update that installs a number of new apps and April month’s security. It’s the first time when we’ve noted such rollout for an Honor phone but more phone users might have been getting the same treatment.

Things to know:

1. We recommend you take a backup of your important data.
2. Use a stable connection to download the update package.
3. Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started.

New Magic UI Version:

Honor 9A smartphone users can upgrade their phones on Magic UI 3.1 version 3.1.0.220 (C432E4R2P2) with an update package size of 736 MB in Europe.

Changelog:

• Apps: Added quick download shortcuts for the following apps: Petal Search, Reader, Petal Maps, Member Center, Game Center, and Link Now
• Call: Optimizes the calling experience in some scenarios.
• Security: Integrates the Android security patch released in April 2021
