Honor 8X update getting new software update with January 2021 security patch

Honor 8X device was revealed in the year 2018 with EMUI 8.0 and currently working on EMUI 10.1. However, it is not eligible to get the EMUI 11 major upgrades. Additionally, it has also completed its regular update cycle.

As it is not a part of regular updates, the company delivered the system and security improvements update for the Honor 8X device but in long time gaps.

Now, Honor 8X smartphones started receiving a new software update. This firmware update brings a new app as well as installs the security patch released in January 2021 for improved system security.

January 2021 Security Patch Details: Installs security fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 4 critical, 1 medium, and 25 high levels of CVEs

The last update for Honor 8X was released in January 2021 that brought November and December 2020 security improvements together. This security update fixes different levels of exploits and issues and protects the device against threats.

1. We recommend you take a backup of your important data.
2. Use a stable connection to download the update package.
3. Do not forcefully turn off the phone, once the installation is started.
