Honor 8X and Honor 10 Lite gets April EMUI security update

This year, Honor upgraded its Honor 8X and Honor 10 Lite to the latest EMUI 10 OS and recently both of these phones in India received a big feature – VoWiFi to make calls over WiFi.

By further improving these phones, Honor is installing a new EMUI software update to Honor 8X and 10 lite. The update brings the latest security patch released in April.

According to the information, Honor 8X and Honor 10 lite receiving the April 2020 security update that includes security patches from Google and brings fixes to 5 critical, 12 high and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).

However, there are no additional changes mentioned in the changelog.

HONOR 8X and 10 Lite EMUI VERSIONs:

April security update for Honor 8X comes with EMUI version 10.0.0.188 and a size of 99.60MB. Honor 10 lite update has EMUI version 10.0.0.182 and 96.07 package size.

CHECK FOR THE UPDATE:

Open Support app
Click on ‘Services’ tab
Click on ‘Update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’

Open Settings
Click on ‘System & updates’
Click on ‘Software update’
Click on ‘CHECK FOR UPDATES’
Click on ‘Download and install’
