Honor 300 series may use in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor
Honor 300 series may feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. If true, the devices will offer the best unlocking experience to consumers. Other than that, the new smartphone lineup could also bring enhanced camera and charging features.
Earlier, some leaks revealed the key specs of the Honor 300 series. These new phones will likely debut next month with a significant performance boost.
Now DigitalChatStation claims that the Honor 300 series will bring an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The tipster further says that this will probably be the only device to match the level of the Magic 7 series at an effective price rate.
The key benefits of an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor are:
- high recognition of fingers
- excellent resistance to water and dirt stains on finger
- scans all the textures, lines, and ridges of fingers accurately
- safer than other sensors
Unlike the traditional optical fingerprint sensor, the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner uses 3D detection of your fingers. It is faster, safer, and far more accurate than other scanners. As soon as the finger touches the screen, the sensor will radiate ultrasonic waves to perform identification.
Honor hasn’t marked any confirmation on this matter so far. But the latest leak adds consent on this topic. Let’s see whether the device will use such a tech or not.
Honor 300 series will likely bring three models this time: standard, Pro, and Pro+. The Pro models may equip the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip whereas, the standard variant may adopt the Snapdragon 7 series processor. You can check more details below.
