Honor 30 receiving Magic UI 4 third beta and October 2020 security update

Honor has begun releasing a new software update for Honor 30, which brings a new Magic UI 4 beta version and security patch released in October 2020 for more system security.

The new Magic UI 4 beta changelog comes with optimizations for video editing features in Gallery and system stability. This changelog mainly enhances the overall device performance for a better user experience.

On the other hand, Honor is expanding its Magic UI 4 beta testing and now, started the recruitment of more devices for the closed beta. The company has selected Honor 20, 20 Pro, V20, and Magic 2 for beta testing running on EMUI 10.1.0.168/164.

MAGIC UI  4 VERSION:

The third EMUI 11 beta for the Honor 30 comes with Magic UI 4 version 4.0.0.130 upgrading from Magic UI 4.0.0.125.

CHANGELOG:

Gallery: Optimizes the video editing features in the Gallery app and supports the creation of short, personalized videos.

System: Optimizes system stability of some situations

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in October 2020 for improved system security.

October 2020 Security Patch Details:

October 2020 security update install security fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Honor phones including 21 high levels and 1 medium level of CVEs.

• The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
• The update will not erase any data
