Honor 20 series price in China is up to €140 cheaper compared to Europe
Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro is now officially launched in China and apart from its powerful camera system and beautiful design, there’s one more noticeable thing and that is its pricing, which makes a big difference compared to its overseas European variants.
Honor 20 and 20 Pro launched in China: Price and Specifications
According to the prices revealed at the launch, Honor 20’s 6GB+128GB version is priced at 399 Euro (3080 Yuan) in the UK as its 8GB+128GB version price in China is 2699 Yuan (349 Euro), the difference in price is around 380 yuan and don’t forget the Chinese variant has 8GB RAM compared to 6GB RAM in European version.
On the other hand, Honor 20 Pro with 8GB+256GB version is priced at 599 Euro (4600 Yuan), as its 8GB+256GB version price in China is 3499 Yuan (450 Euro), the price difference is more than 1100 Yuan (142 Euro), which is really big deal.
Zhao Ming, president of Honor, explained that many foreign smartphone markets are still fragmented, and the operational efficiency is not as smooth and high as the Chinese market.
in addition, the launch overseas also involves international tariffs, as well as some difference in the duty system. This combination of big factors resulted in a large difference in pricing at home and abroad, Zhao added.
Honor 20’s sale in China is started on June 1 and Honor 20 Pro will go on sale on June 18. In Europe, the Honor 20 is slated for sale on June 21 and 20 Pro’s date is still unknown.
