Honor 20 (EMUI 11) starts receiving January 2022 security update
Honor 20 smartphone users running on EMUI 11 have begun collecting the security update released in January 2022. This security patch improves the system security by resolving issues and bugs, which can also slow down the performance of the device.
The latest information reveals that the Honor 20 owners are receiving the upgraded EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.186 (C675E3R1P4) with an updated package size of 175MB. At present, this January 2022 firmware update for Honor 20 is spotted in India.
However, this update is in the initial stage of rollout and will soon reach all Honor 20 users with EMUI 11 software system. It is suggested to corresponding device owners to maintain enough storage and battery to prevent update failure.
To be mentioned, the January 2022 EMUI security patch fixes 4 critical, 12 high, and 47 medium levels of CVEs in the system. In addition to this, it also resolves 2 high levels of CVE in third-party libraries for better system security.

How to update:
To update, Honor 20 smartphone users can download the latest EMUI update via go to phone settings followed by system & updates, click on the software update, tap on check for updates. Once the update appears on your smartphone hit the download button and install it.
Alternatively, you can request the update through the My Huawei app, visit the update section and follow the on-screen instruction to install it. During the update timeline, make sure that the phone has a sufficient amount of battery and storage to download the update package. Also, use a stable WiFi and network connection for fast download.
