You should try home screen transitions on EMUI phone
Huawei EMUI devices bring many personalization features but home screen transitions make it even more interesting. However, do you know that there are numerous transitions that you can enable to add new fun to your home screen switching? If you don’t, then let’s explore them together.
Before we jump into the details, you should understand that these are animations that occur between the screens when you swipe them left or right to change the active content.
Transitions:
Currently, Huawei offers seven-screen transition animation excluding the default. These are:
- Perspective
- Squeeze
- Box
- Flip over
- Rotate
- Page
- Windmill
Getting into them one by one, you will find the following animations.
The default transition works as feedback when you swipe left or right side of the screen. Perspective is a more gravity-assist maneuver, which pushes the entire screen in and brings it back with animation. Similar to its name, the transition squeezes the origin screen into either the left or right direction.
The box will let you experience a transition similar to a box and moves the appearance as a rectangular box in the direction of the gesture. Flip over will flip the first screen in the background to bring the second screen on top.
Rotate will circle (horizontally) the home screen with a side screen. The page will transition like changing a book page, it will turn the screen based on interaction. Windmill is more flashy and it rotates the screen clockwise and anticlockwise in order to achieve the named effect.
How to Enable
You can activate these transitions within a few steps. Pinch two fingers on the home screen. This will open the personalization settings. Then, tap on Transitions and then select a transition according to your preference. Once selected, press the back button and it will set your phone to a brand-new transition.
