Here’s the reason why some Huawei smartphones not getting EMUI 10

Huawei has denied providing EMUI 10 to several smartphones including Huawei Nova 3, 3i and Honor Play. However, the company also stated a reason behind the denial as “Hardware Limitations” and recently came with a detailed explanation.

“We would like to inform you that the updates for the device have been stopped due to hardware specifications as the motherboard cannot take more updates hence it is a risk for rolling the updates which may harm your device,” said Huawei India.

Huawei says it will still rollout updates for regular security updates and necessary updates for enhancing devices to perform at an optimum level.

Adding to this, Huawei also confirmed that Huawei Y9 2019 will receive the EMUI 10 but its Indian variant will not get the same upgrade.
