Here’s how you can solve the latest Google app crash issue on Huawei devices with GMS
Recently, after Android send a software update for Android WebView, the online forums have been filled with reports of a bug. Users are reporting the sudden crashing of the Android app including Gmail, Chrome, and many e-commerce sites, applications are showing the warning note, disable them to get access. Many of them uninstalled the applications.
In response to the problem, Android apologized to the users for this temporary problem via Twitter, saying that the issue has been fixed. If your device is still affected, please update Android System WebView/ Google Chrome via Google Play.

Let me inform you, although Huawei’s self-made HarmonyOS (Hongmeng OS) is totally different from Android. Still, the EMUI is based on Android, so there is a possibility that you can face a sudden crash of GMS (Google Mobile Services) on your Huawei devices.
In case, if you encounter this kind of situation, just update your Android System WebView and Google Chrome manually. You just have to follow:
- Open the Play Store app
- Search Android System WebView
- Select Update (If it is available, it will pop-up)
- Follow the same process for Google Chrome
Note – If you are unable to complete the update, go to Settings > Apps & notifications > Google Play Store > Storage & cache > Clear Data.
