Today, Huawei shared a new video teaser showing the first official look at the Mate XT tri-fold phone. The clip highlights the rear design of the triple foldable handset. The upcoming device will have Mate 60 RS Ultimate Design-like aesthetics.

After a long wait, Huawei has shown its consumers the first official look of the Mate XT tri-foldable. The teaser mainly highlights the rear side of the device. It bears an octagonal camera bump and Ultimate Design branding, just like the Mate 60 RS.

Further details show that the optical part has three lenses including a periscope sensor. It also bears the XMAGE branding and an LED Flash, placed vertically.

The back panel is entirely covered with vegan leather for a better and more convenient grip. As told by many Chinese stars, the device is large, thin, and light.

Mate XT’s form factor is based on the Mate X5. It has a familiar design and structure except for an additional screen. Unfolding the phone makes it appear slim and increases the screen size to more extent, providing a better viewing experience.

It is worth noting that the device’s thickness seems around 5mm. The tech giant has crafted the device in such a way that it appears like a normal phone when folded while taking a tablet shape on unfolding. You can check the new teaser HERE.

Apart from the design revelation, Huawei also announced Andy Lau as the brand ambassador of the Mate XT Ultimate Design triple foldable phone. The video features Andy using the new phone and shooting a creative moment.

“Three, two, one, Action!
HUAWEI Mate XT ULTIMATE DESIGN Brand Ambassador Andy Lau invites you to witness #HuaweiMateXTExtraordinaryMaster#.” – wrote Huawei.

Mate XT tri-foldable will likely adopt a 10-inch screen, resulting in a 50% larger display than the regular book-type folding handsets. It is said to be available in brown as well as golden shades. Yet, we may find more colors on the launch stage.

For the price, a few tipsters reported that the device could start selling at 14,900 yuan in limited quantities. However, an official confirmation still awaits on this matter.
