Here are the HarmonyOS NEXT first developer beta batch devices
HarmonyOS NEXT is in full swing and Huawei developers have locked their eyes to check the first developer beta batch devices list. The company opened the software testing phase for three models and will bring it to more handsets in the coming days.
Huawei is expected to unveil the HarmonyOS NEXT developer preview on January 18. The latest beta test recruitment is part of the preview build and developers can participate to explore tech-pack features and make amendments accordingly.
HarmonyOS NEXT first developer beta batch devices:
- Huawei Mate 60 (BRA-AL00)
- Huawei Mate 60 Pro (ALN-AL00)
- Huawei Mate 60 Pro (ALN-AL80)
- Huawei Mate X5 (ALT-AL10)
Developers with Mate 60 and Mate 60 Pro models must have a baseline version 4.0.0.152 and 4.0.0.153 (or above) respectively, to meet the compatibility needs of the HarmonyOS NEXT developer preview. Besides, the Mate X5 should be running on the 4.0.0.152 software build.
How to sign up?
As mentioned, this beta recruitment program is only for developers. Initially, you need to complete the identity verification phase to begin the signup process. Note that you can only perform this operation 5 times. Once done, you have to participate in the ‘What You Need to Know’ test to learn about the pros and cons of the beta software.
Thereafter, developers can fill out the application to apply in the HarmonyOS NEXT Developer Preview Beta Test. Eventually, the review process will run from January 18 to February 5, 2024, and take some time to release the new software version.
Before you proceed, ensure to have at least 8GB of free storage space. Also, a complete backup of the device is a must as this is a beta version and may lead to system crashes, lagging, overheating, and other performance-based issues.
You can further provide feedback on such problems during the HarmonyOS NEXT developer preview exploration via the ‘Application Development Question Feedback’ portal (Tap HERE).
