HarmonyOS PC is expected to launch this year. Ahead of that, glimpses of the new software peaked through the official website. A new input suggests that HarmonyOS PC allegedly surfaced on the Huawei Developer page, revealing its UI design.

The HarmonyOS PC UI design has reportedly appeared on the Huawei Developer site, in the Design Guide. It shows the overall user interface and app adaptation on PC.

Starting with the UI, the allegedly spotted software shows a clean and minimalistic layout. The status bar appears at the upper right corner of the screen with certain details. For instance time, battery, network, volume icon, and input method.

Instead of sticking to each other, all these icons are arranged at some distance. The Dock bar is at the bottom and showcases recently used or important apps, alongside a few major functions. It reflects a simpler and more convenient layout than Windows.

The next part of UI design includes application adaptation. It covers apps like audio, video, social networking, shooting, reading, shopping, finance, life, travel, and many more. Apps like Maps and Music show a better display of controls and functions.

Huawei Developer Design guide illustrates how these apps are efficient and immersive on all devices. They easily adapt to multiple interfaces, without troubling users for their look on varying screens. Some apps in this case are Weather, File Explorer, and more.

A good point is that the alleged HarmonyOS PC UI seems compatible with that of phones as well as tablets. It further looks quite similar to the Apple MacOS user interface. Everything combined, the interface effectively uses the space and displays a clear view.

The new design guide on the Huawei Developer site explains how new apps or features can adopt the multi-device scenario. It demonstrates a responsive layout design with better navigation, easy-to-use features, and more. You can learn about these details HERE.

Huawei has not confirmed the HarmonyOS PC launch so far. Although leaks say that the computer-dedicated software will likely release alongside the Mate 70 series in Q4 2024. Till then, we might capture more revelations about the new software.
