HarmonyOS now supports Bluetooth BLE 5.0 chip
HarmonyOS operating system is continuously increasing partnerships in many devices and technologies and the latest addition to this membership campaign now added Bluetooth BLE 5.0 SoC chip. This chip could be applied in smart bands, smart tags, smartwatches, smart homes, and IoT devices.
OpenAtom Foundation, the keeper and management organization of open source HarmonyOS, OpenHarmony, announced support for Bluetooth BLE 5.0 chip CST92F30 developed by ChipSea technology.
According to the certification information, the ChipSea Bluetooth BLE 5.0 CST92F30 chip has received OpenHarmony 3.0.1 LTS evaluation. It means that the chipset is now capable of supporting the entire HarmonyOS ecosystem and its devices.
Chipsea CST92F30 is an integrated, ultra-low power consumption BLE5.0 SoC chip that has obtained BQB certification from SIG (Bluetooth Technology Alliance) and is developed for the Internet of Things (IoT) market.
BLE 5.0 increases the transmission distance by 4 times, the transmission speed by 2 times, and the broadcast data transmission volume by 8 times on the basis of the low power consumption characteristics of the previous generation of Bluetooth 4.2, achieving longer distance, faster speed, and higher.
The wireless transmission of data capacity has become the most suitable communication technology application for the development of the Internet of Things.
The CST92F30 is based on the BLE 5.0 protocol stack. The maximum Bluetooth receiver (Rx) sensitivity can reach-97dbm at BLE 1Mbps. The maximum transmits power (Tx) can reach 10dbm, which can maintain super reliable signal stability in harsh communication environments.
Looking at the transmission speed, the fastest can reach 2Mbps, and it supports the expansion of long-packet communication to meet the high-efficiency connection of long-distance range.
The chipset information reveals that the CST92F30 is based on the ARM Cortex-M0 core. It supports up to 48Mhz operating frequency, built-in 512KB Flash, 138KB SRAM, integrated 2 x UART, 2 x SPI, 1 x I2C, 6 x PWM, 6 x 12-bit ADC, 4 x DMA.
The rich peripherals of four GPIOs can meet the operating temperature of industrial grade -40 degrees celsius to 105 degrees Celsius.
