HarmonyOS NEXT to support adaptive and responsive user interface for multiple devices
HarmonyOS NEXT is likely to bring a variety of significant features to the surface along with an adaptive and responsive user interface for multiple devices. Perhaps, the company wants to benefit its users in every manner with the new software system.
Weibo tipster @FixedFocus says that a few codes in the HarmonyOS NEXT software show the presence of adaptive and responsive user interface designs. Eventually, these layouts simplify app development for developers without putting in extra effort or spending much time.
In other words, developers can build a single app that will efficiently run on multiple devices including folding phones, tablets, smartphones, and more. It can easily fit with different screen sizes and offer a convenient visual experience.
- Adaptive Design: This layout demands a separate design for each device. It needs different versions based on different screen sizes for instance: 320px, 480px, 760px, 960px, and 1600px. It requires more time and effort in development.
- Responsive Design: It can easily adjust as per the screen width and requires less work. Also, the same app interface will show up on every device with changes based on the size of the screen. You can simply make amendments without starting from scratch.
Both capabilities play distinct roles. Yet the latter is more beneficial and helps developers to adapt to different screen sizes in one development. It also eliminates the burden of workload and enhances the user interface with better navigation.
Such user interfaces support a variety of prominent functions such as multitasking, smooth swipe gestures between apps, better visuals, and multi-languages. Together, these features boost the overall experience for Huawei device owners.
Probably, HarmonyOS NEXT will offer impressive functionalities that will not only simplify heavy operations but remain helpful for daily entertainment as well on all those devices that you are using.
Note that the HarmonyOS software system already supports such features. Though the company could have improved them with the latest version. It would be worth seeing what major changes this OS will bring over previous versions.
