HarmonyOS NEXT introduces a new ‘song recognition’ feature

HarmonyOS NEXT unlocks surprising features for your Huawei handsets but have you heard of the song recognition tool? The new capability ensures that you can listen to your favorite music anytime, anywhere, even if you easily forget the song’s name.

Are you a music lover but often forget song names? If yes then HarmonyOS NEXT has got your back. Huawei has introduced a brand-new feature called song recognition that helps you recognize and find any song even if you don’t remember its name.

The company shared the feature’s details on its official Weibo page. It shows how you can identify a familiar tune by searching it with the new song recognition capability.

The feature uses AI algorithms to smartly discover any tune in no time. It eliminates the use of a third-party application or software to recognize any song for you.

Let’s learn how to use this feature.

Firstly, add the new song recognition tool to the Control Panel. To do so, go to the Control Panel and tap on the Edit (pen-in-box icon at the corner). Tap the + icon and select the “song recognition” tool to add it to the panel.

Once done, turn on the feature and play the tune. The feature will record the tune and show you the precise results in a pop-up bar at the top of the screen. Tapping on this bar will directly navigate you to the respective song’s album page. As soon as you click the play button, it will enter the music app to play the recognized song.

“Native HarmonyOS has a built-in song recognition. Add “Song Recognition to the Control Center quickly, without the need for third-party software, and the music will continue to play seamlessly. #Native HarmonyOS calls you to upgrade#” – wrote Huawei.

Thus, within a few easy steps, you can identify any song using HarmonyOS NEXT’s song recognition feature. It will be available to all eligible models via new updates.
