HarmonyOS exceeded 900 million installations: Huawei Chairman

Huawei Consumer Business Chairman – Yu Chengdong announced that HarmonyOS has completed more than 900 million installations. The executive shared the news during the HDC developer conference and talked about more software achievements.

Yu said that the HarmonyOS ecosystem has surpassed over 900 million devices. This shows that the company has made major breakthroughs in its self-developed OS.

He further added that the number of developers joining the HarmonyOS ecosystem has also reached 2.54 million. The OS is playing wonders in every field, whether it’s smartphones, tablets, applications, or the smart car solutions category.

The information reveals that the Huawei Pura 7o series shipment volume has risen by 68% YoY while its 72% YoY increment for other flagship devices.

HarmonyOS-powered wearable shipment has progressed by 38% and is at the Top 1st position in the market. The same growth is seen by the Smart Office products with 51% YoY. Smart Cars such as AITO M9 are leading the Chinese automobile market – thanks to HarmonyOS-based EV solutions.

Compared to last year, when Huawei took almost 4 years to complete 700 million HarmonyOS installations, this time the company reached the 900 mark at a good pace.
