HarmonyOS 4 is the fastest upgrading HarmonyOS version in 98 devices and more to come, says Huawei CEO

Huawei today announced 100 million upgrades for HarmonyOS 4 operating system and Huawei Consumer Business Group CEO said it is the fastest HarmonyOS version upgraded in smart devices.

While reacting to this milestone, the Huawei CEO wrote on Weibo that HarmonyOS 4 is the fastest upgraded software update among the past HarmonyOS versions. He also said that there are over 98 devices already running this new HarmonyOS version and there are more joining soon.

On August 4th, 2023, during the Huawei Developer Conference 2023, Huawei released HarmonyOS 4 for the customers. Subsequently, the company announced two batches of 34 products including the Mate 50 series, P60 series, Mate X3, and MatePad Pro 12.6 inches under public beta upgrades. At the same time, 35 products including the P40 series, Mate 30 series, Nova 9, and Nova 10 began HarmonyOS 4 closed testing.

One month after its release, HarmonyOS 4 had more than 10 million upgrades. Today, this number has reached 100 million. HarmonyOS 4 brings a new Huawei Ark engine. After installation, the system fluency is improved by 20%, the battery life is extended by half an hour, and tens of thousands of pictures in the gallery are loaded instantly with improved system performance.

Not only smartphones but tablets, smartwatches, and in-car systems are also working smoother than before. Therefore, more of the users are downloading this new HarmonyOS version on their devices and contributing to the installation.
