At the onset of this month, Huawei announced the HarmonyOS 4.2 upgrade plan and began its beta activities for the top-end models of the company. As of now, the tech giant is expanding the new software to more devices with efficient features.
The tech giant is bringing the HarmonyOS 4.2 public beta update to the MatePad 2023 and MatePad Pro 12.6 2022 tablet with the build version 4.2.0.205. While there is no detail for package size, it is better to have at least 8GB of free space.
New firmware is rolling out in batches for unlimited users. Although if you have not received the version yet, you can sneak into Settings and follow these steps:

Since it is a beta update, we suggest you keep a backup of your device in advance to prevent data loss. Also, your Huawei MatePad tablet should be running on the baseline version 4.0.0.132/136/201, or else you might face upgrade failure.
