HarmonyOS 3.0 beta available for global users?
Recently, HarmonyOS 3.0 beta has started the journey for its wide test. In the latest development, Huawei has begun to signup HarmonyOS 3.0 developer beta for the public users but is it available for the global users? The answer to this question is that HarmonyOS 3.0 beta testing is not open for global users.
The decision of keeping ‘still’ HarmonyOS for smartphones in the global market may be related to its ecosystem, which is expanding vastly and rapidly in China.
According to Huawei, HarmonyOS operating system is designed to serve its consumers in China, and all of its features are oriented for devices in the market, especially smartphones. We found it quite relative, as the Super Device feature has been widely adopted in Chinese devices and in different platforms. On the other hand, global device makers aren’t wide in the use case for this new operating system as they are in China.

As for now, Huawei is rolling out EMUI 12 for the global models that come with new features including Control Panel, notification center, large folders, new animations as well a performance booster. Other than these, Huawei has also inbuilt a new user interface that is derived directly from HarmonyOS operating system.
So, you won’t get to see any additional difference in terms of look and feel in both of this Huawei software. However, there are some features that are stripped from EMUI 12 that you get accessed in HarmaonyOS since it’s a different operating system.
HarmonyOS 3.0 is the next operating system that was introduced at Huawei Developer Conference 2021. With this launch, Huawei is focusing on improving the performance of the software and delivering better app stability for the developers. The Chiense tech maker is also working to get more industry partners in China to adopt this new operating system and so far, it has been found to be successful in the task.
Huawei has not made any remarks regarding the global launch of HarmonyOS 3.0 but we’ll keep you posted on the further development of this story.
