Great Wall Motor could adopt Huawei ADS 3.0 for next off-road vehicle

After BYD, Great Wall Motor is planning to use the Huawei ADS 3.0 smart driving solution for its most expensive off-road vehicle. The automaker has recently cooperated with the Chinese tech giant for its high-end smart car solutions.

Great Wall Motor (GWM) is a Chinese automobile manufacturing firm. It is named after the “Great Wall of China”. The company largely produces SUVs and pick-up trucks. GWM runs its business worldwide and sold 1.23 million units last year.

36Kr Auto noted from some industry insiders that Huawei and Great Wall Motor are upgrading their partnership once again for ADS 3.0 and other car solutions.

On November 13, 2024, both parties signed an “Intelligent Ecosystem Cooperation Agreement”. Under this deal, Huawei and Great Wall Motor will integrate their carmaking technologies to build the world’s finest off-road vehicle.

Great Wall Motor’s smart space system and Huawei’s smart car cloud are the main highlights of this agreement. Another focal point will be the ADS 3.0 solution.

Inputs further reveal that Great Wall Motor will use Huawei’s smart car cloud tech for its global models. Cars with smart car cloud solutions will likely be shipped to overseas markets like Brazil, Thailand, and more.

On the other hand, ADS 3.0 could show up with the most expensive new-gen Tank 700 Hi4-T. It would arrive as one of the luxurious off-road vehicles in the time ahead.

Huawei is gradually expanding its smart automotive solution business in China. It has even started collaborating with worldwide partners to take a step outside the native region. Though a global expansion still has time.
