Google to bring fully custom chipset for its Android phones
Google is developing a fully custom chipset for its Android Pixel phones and wants to achieve high quality for a better user experience.
Input coming from TheInformation reveals that Google has planned to launch its first fully custom chipset for phones in 2024. Also, Google is looking to change the printing production to TSMC instead of Samsung.
The report reveals that the next custom chipset will be called Tesnor G5 and it will be based on TSMC’s 3nm technology node. However, its mass production is only possible by 2024.
For now, Google is sticking with Samsung for the current gen Tensor chip but the next generation will follow as mentioned above. Currently, the plans for this chipset remain in reports but we’ll have to wait for some official information.
