Google Pixel 9 Pro XL camera ranks below Huawei Pura 70 Ultra on DXOMARK
DXOMARK has released the camera evaluation marks for the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL. Despite being full of enhancements and upgraded optical features, the Android 14-powered phone ranked second in the test. Huawei Pura 70 Ultra is still 1st on the list.
According to the details, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL scored 158 points and achieved the second spot in the global smartphone DXOMARK ranking for the main camera.
Talking about the scores, the Pixel 9 Pro XL obtained 161 points for photo, 75 for bokeh, 86 for preview, 155 points for zoom, and 152 for video shooting.
Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, on the other hand, won the crown of the camera beast with 163 points. With a retractable lens, XD Motion Engine, and an amazing portrait sensor, the device offers high-end image quality with beautiful as well as natural effects.

Pixel 9 Pro XL delivers good exposure and highlights in several scenarios. It has a neutral white balance and sheds vibrant colors. The device bears fast and reliable autofocus benefits like a field of view correction in video mode when the focus target changes.
The image results by Pixel 9 Pro XL display effective textures and reduced noise in bright lights with finer details. The zoom and macro shots are also quite impressive with a better preview image on display, when close to capture. As per the official inputs, the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL features a triple camera setup. The structure includes a 50MP primary wide shooter with a 1/1.31-inch sensor (f/1.7), a 48MP ultrawide lens (f/1.7), and a 48MP periscope sensor (f/2.8 aperture).
These lenses support dual-pixel PDAF, OIS, 5x optical zoom, Multi-zone Laser AF, LED Flash, Pixel Shift, Ultra-HDR, panorama, Best Take, and Zoom Enhance.
