Google cut Android 4.4 KitKat

Recently, Google officially announced to cut ties with Android 4.4 KitKat (API levels 19 and 20) starting next month, which means it will not receive new security and other enhancements.

According to the information, Android users are now running below 1% as more users chose to upgrade to the latest Android. Also, it no longer gets the new Google Play Services version after 23.20.99.

Android KitKat is the codename for the eleventh Android mobile operating system, representing release version 4.4. Unveiled on September 3, 2013, KitKat focused primarily on optimizing the operating system for improved performance on entry-level devices with limited resources. The first phone with Android KitKat was the Nexus 5.
