Global Huawei Watch 3 series is receiving January 2024 security patch
Huawei is serving a new software update to the Watch 3 series users that brings the January 2024 security patch. On the flip side, the company has published the safety improvements for the current month and will soon release them for its devices.
The information reveals that the latest firmware development is arriving for the standard and Pro models of the Watch 3 series. Meanwhile, if you have not received the respective security patch then wait patiently or check system settings.
Looking into the changelog, the Huawei Watch 3 series is collecting the January 2024 security patch with the HarmonyOS version 3.0.0.172. You need to download a software package of 277MB to obtain the latest offering on your Watch 3/Pro.
Earlier, the company provided system stability to the global Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro users. As of now, Huawei has integrated the January 2024 security patch to erase privacy exploits and vulnerabilities from the device’s security system.
It will further provide the potential to fight against anonymous bugs and glitches that often become the cause of wearable malfunctioning and even data loss.
Other than security enhancements, the changelog doesn’t accompany any new upgrades. Yet, we advise you to install the latest firmware as it appears on your phone’s screen. You can even opt for manual settings using the Huawei Health app.
Update Notes:
- Make sure that the Huawei Health app is running on the new version
- Use a standard internet connection to download the upgrade
- Wait for the update process on the device to finish. Once done, the device will restart automatically.
