Global Huawei Watch 3 series gets June 2024 firmware
Huawei is bringing a new security patch for Watch 3 series wearables with the June 2024 firmware. The latest update is rolling out in the global market (Europe) with security optimizations and will expand to more users in the upcoming weeks.
It is good to see that the Chinese phone maker continues to improve the three-year-old smartwatch via new OTA software updates. All these builds are quite essential as they contain useful improvements and fixes for common issues.
Although Huawei Watch 3 series users have locked their eyes on the major HarmonyOS 4.0 update. It has already received the respective upgrade in the home ground and we expect the company to soon bring this offering for global users.
By that time, users should not forget to keep their wearables up-to-date with the newest versions. For now, the Huawei Watch 3 series is getting the June 2024 update with the HarmonyOS 3.0.0.177 build and 263 Megabytes package size.
Despite being a June 2024 firmware, the device is receiving the May 2024 security patch. But this add-on has its own benefits. Installing the latest update will eliminate bugs and system glitches from the wearable, making it more stable.

Apart from sending regular rollouts, the company is working on the HarmonyOS 4.2 distribution. However, it has not listed the Watch 3 series on the official upgrade roadmap. Hence, we may not see more new features for this wearable.
