GaussDB launched, Huawei’s own distributed database
On June 7th, 2023, GaussDB launched as Huawei‘s own distributed full-stack database and the first of its kind in China. This new product launch is made possible by the company in order to break free from the bound of foreign technologies. Huawei GaussDB has achieved full-process software and hardware collaboration of chips, servers, storage, networks, operating systems, databases, and autonomy.
GaussDB has brought many advantages in usability and security. It can meet digital transformation and core business requirements. Can also complete the demand for cloud and distributed transformation.
Powered by AI:
It is also the world’s first AI-Native database. GaussDB can be oriented towards development and operation and maintenance, bringing a full process to provide a smart experience.
In the development stage of the application, the addition of AI can provide full-scale and full-link perception, analysis, and optimization of SQL. It can also provide developers with a convenient, easy-to-use, and efficient development experience.
The later stage contains AI-based monitoring and intelligent diagnosis capabilities covering the entire process can also greatly improve efficiency. Also empowering experience in basic data operation and maintenance.
Furthermore, the technical perspective such as the SQL Audit tool and DBMind provided by GaussDB allows developers to achieve efficiency to check the health status of the database system. Overall, it will help them to boost optimization during the project operation and maintenance phase.
If the database is seriously overloaded, GaussDB also has the ability to overload and fuse. It can automatically kill overloaded drawings to avoid individual slow SQL “exploding” the system.
Currently, Huawei’s GaussDB is launched with services such as Postal Savings Bank, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China with multiple improvements in performance and fault diagnosis.
This new database tech is limited to Huawei’s home ground. Meanwhile, there are no plans released for overseas markets at the moment.
