First Huawei AOD Watch is coming soon
This year is full of new Huawei smartwatches and the company has more surprises waiting for us in the second half including the upcoming AOD Watch.
According to the information coming from a well-known tipster, some people have participated in the early test of a new Huawei smartwatch. This watch is internally named “AOD Watch”.
There are also some Huawei Health app screenshots to confirm this wearable is in existence. The watch’s appearance has a round dial and a crown on the right side, which is kind of identical to the Watch 3.
The watchface shows various widgets including a calendar, steps counter, battery level, timing, weather, heart rate, alarm, and bedtime reminder. The bezels are noticeable but not too disturbing. Meanwhile, it could be meant for reference only and we can’t confirm the current appearance as final.
First AOD Huawei Watch:
The tipster mentioned that this could be Huawei’s first smartwatch with a new always-on display. And the Huawei AOD watch could launch in the second half of this year. However, Huawei already has this feature in smartwatches such as Watch 3/GT 3 and later.
It is possible that the company is bringing new dedicated and advanced AOD capability with this watch than the past versions.
AOD in Smartwatch:
Always on Display or AOD is quite popular in smartphones, even iPhones now have an AOD feature. This allows users to access information such as time and notifications without waking the screen.
In simple words, the screen will show you time and watch without user interaction. Apple and Samsung smartwatches also support the AOD feature but it’s very basic. However, Huawei could make it better with less power consumption and optimized performance.
Code:
Back in February, a number of new smartwatch codes leaked online. This also includes a watch with model – AOD-H1, this may possibly belong to this Huawei AOD watch.
For now, Huawei has not made any announcements about this new product. However, we will have to wait for an official node. It’s expected that Huawei has at least two more smartwatches to unveil by this year.
Therefore, we are eagerly waiting for the tech maker to expand its smart wearables portfolio even further.
