According to the latest news, the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) issues a bill on 13th July 2021. It describes a plan to remove the 5G network equipment from Chinese manufactures including Huawei and proposed a budget of about 1.9 billion USD to waste on the removal process.

Previously, the FCC suspects Huawei and ZTE of creating a national security threat in the US and restricted their business in overseas markets in 2020. Later on, FCC declared to restrict U.S. firms from tapping an $8.3 billion government fund to purchase equipment from the companies.

Last year in December, the Federal Commission announced ordinances for the US network operator to remove or replace the 5G devices of Huawei and ZTE. The commission explained that the US countryside operators facing problems disassemble the equipment, also, it required a high cost.

In early March, the FCC again doubts the Chinese supplier for having a problem with the network equipment. It plans to eliminate all 5G network devices of the companies that include

  1. Huawei Technologies,
  2. ZTE Telecommunication
  3. Hytera Communications
  4. Hangzhou Hikvision Digital
  5. Dahua Corporate Limited

Response from Huawei:

Huawei said that the US FCC made a one-sided decision on groundless facts in their defense. The US commission doesn’t have any evidence and it violated the principle of due process in legislation and was mistrusted by the company for breaking the law.

Furthermore, Huawei said to put the clients’ privacy and data security first. The company has been working for 30 years and established an end to end cybersecurity practices in about 170 countries across the world.

No country or client ever question Huawei regards security reasons or has poor network security equipment. Consumers have always shown faith in the company’s security protocol.

However, Huawei executives request the FCC members and Chairman Ajit Pai to review this judgment. The company wants to do an open discussion with the US administration and policymakers so that adequate answers can be discovered to assures the security of US operators.
