EMUI 14.2 features rolling out for Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable
EMUI 14.2 is now making its way to the three-year-old Huawei Mate Xs 2 smartphone with exciting features. The company is gradually rolling out the latest version to all its eligible models and it’s time for the old flagship foldable to fetch the new offering.
The shared screenshot reveals that Huawei Mate Xs 2 is getting the huge EMUI 14.2 update with the 14.2.0.140 version. Users need to download a software package of 6.17GB to install the significant features of this upgrade on their handset.
Huawei EMUI 14.2 brings a whole new experience to devices. With this firmware, users will experience a more interactive, seamless, and productive OS on their phones. It also contains customizations to add a new feel to the phone’s screen.
Apart from a personalized look, EMUI 14.2 also boosts the efficiency and productivity aspects. Features like Live View and SuperHub 2.0 offer better control of apps and interconnection in users’ hands without compromising the privacy aspects.
Smoothness and quick transitions remain at their peak with the new build. You may not encounter any lags while switching between slides, opening and closing applications, or performing any other operations on the Mate Xs 2 device.

In case you have already received the EMUI 14 beta on your Mate Xs 2 foldable, then you will only receive a small package with improvements for the system stability.
Although for non-beta users, the EMUI 14.2 upgrade is bringing a huge changelog. You may also fetch a new security patch released this month that will target privacy exploits and other vulnerabilities, ruining the overall user experience.

Huawei is currently rolling out the Mate Xs 2 EMUI 14.2 update in Saudi Arabia. Although it will soon expand to more regions in the coming days. We also expect a quick EMUI 14.2 software distribution for the left-out eligible models.
Mate Xs 2 is also eligible for the HarmonyOS 4.2 update in China but hasn’t received it yet. Perhaps the phone maker will soon bring the feature-rich version to this foldable.
