EMUI 11 third beta and October 2020 security update rolling out for Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G
Huawei has started releasing the third EMUI 11 beta with a security patch for Huawei Nova 6 and Nova 6 5G users. This update brings a new video editing feature to the gallery, improvements for system stability, and a security patch released in October 2020 for better system security.
Last week, the Huawei Nova 7 series has rolled out with a similar EMUI 11 beta changelog with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.130.
Recently, Huawei has introduced the Earthquake Warning feature in EMUI 11. When the earthquake is detected, it shows pop-up warming and the alarm starts ringing to warn the user. This feature will available soon available to Huawei and Honor EMUI 11 eligible devices.

EMUI 11 VERSION:
The third EMUI 11 beta for the Huawei Nova 6 series comes with EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.145 upgrading from EMUI 11.0.0.138.
EMUI 11 CHANGELOG:
Gallery: Optimizes the video editing features in the Gallery app and supports the creation of short, personalized videos.
System: Optimizes system stability of some situations
Security: Integrates Android security patches released in October 2020 for improved system security.
October 2020 Security Patch Details:
October 2020 security update install security fixes for different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 21 high levels and 1 medium level of CVEs.
Note:
- The update is rolling out in batches so it may take some time/days to reach your device.
- The update will not erase any data
