EMUI 10 Tip: How to customize App icon badges

When new notifications arrive for an app, a badge will appear on the app icon. By default, a numbered badge is displayed. You can also set a dot as the badge, or hide the badge for some or all apps.

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how you can manage the app icon badges for your Huawei/Honor smartphone running EMUI 10.

Change the Badge Display Mode:

1. Go to Settings > Notifications > App icon badges.
2. Tap on Badge display mode
3. Select Number or Dots – according to your preference.

Turn off app icon badges:

1. Go to Settings > Notifications > App icon badges.
2. Touch the switch to turn off some or all applications.
