Dear Huawei Mate 20 and P20 series users, which version of EMUI are you using?

Huawei has started rolling out the stable EMUI 9.1 software update for the Huawei Mate 20 series and Huawei P20 series.

The EMUI 9.1 update brings many useful features to both the flagship series. Some of those features are EROFS, GPU Turbo 3.0, and AI Assitant.

The rollout is in progress but you can manually download and install EMUI 9.1 without waiting for the OTA update.

Here we’ll guide you how you can upgrade to EMUI 9.1 through HiCare APP. Before you start, ensure your device has the latest version of HiCare app for a better experience.

Open HiCare APP, go to Me Section -> Settings ->Check for Updates to update the HiCare version. Alternatively, you can also go to Google Play Store to update the HiCare version.

Also, if you want to check for the update manually you can do this by following the instruction below: Go to Settings > System > Software update > Check for Updates. If an update is available, it’ll ask if you want to download it.
